In the process of preparing for the Al Khachi Project, also completed in June, we learned that Habitat for Humanity was getting ready to build a brand-new, 5 unit development in the adjacent lot. Part of their plan was to hire a contractor to build a gigantic wooden fence as a perimeter for the entire project. We were delighted with the opportunity to partner with Habitat, and ended up mobilizing volunteers to build the whole Northern fence using the materials they provided. The existing Habitat homeowners are ecstatic to finally have some privacy, and the fence will also serve 5 new homeowners in the near future. This was a fantastic beginning to what we hope will be a long and prosperous partnership with Habitat for Humanity!
